A £257,000 grant from the Environment Agency, ESRC and EPSRC awarded to research team
A £257,000 grant from the Environment Agency, ESRC and EPSRC has been
awarded to a research team who will conduct a study to understand the
everyday experiences of individuals as they attempt to recover from the
floods of June 2007 in Hull.
The team - Will Medd (PI), Gordon Walker, Nigel Watson, Maggie Mort and Beccy Sims - will focus on the 'forgotten city' of Hull and will adopt a tried and tested action research methodology previously used to investigate recovery following the 2001 Foot and Mouth Disease disaster.
