2813 shaft

Updated 17th April, 4th October 2008
Two deep depressions are separated by a short ridge of limestone. The GPS
in the middle of this ridge is 30T 0453330 4794295 altitude 452m. Site 2813
(guessed at the above grid reference - but needs a better GPS) is the top
of the shaft in the southern depression.
This is a 4m pitch which drops onto a slope with an eyehole to a parallel
rift. Routes unite at an excavated crawl onto the head of a 5m pitch into
a calcite-floored, decorated chamber, some 13m long. At the far side is a
crawl to a boulder pile. A crawl up and over this ends to the left at a small
aven and to the right where it may be possible to dig around the side of
the rocks.
The northern depression is larger and deeper and has been investigated. Holes
around the sides are choked.
